Don’t miss the UK Premiere of a new 4K Digital Restoration of Hitchcock’s Notorious screened as part of the Cinema Rediscovered Festival in his home town, Bristol City of Film!

Starring Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman and Claude Rains, the film will be screened on the opening night of the festival in partnership with Cary Comes Home on Thursday 25 July.

The 4th edition Cinema Rediscovered (25 – 28 July 2019) explores the invention, innovation and mystery of cinema; diving deep into the legacy of revered filmmakers as well as shining a spotlight on lesser known cinematic voices.

Becoming Cary Grant English Premiere

We are excited to announce that Becoming Cary Grant, a new documentary, directed by local Bristol-based director Mark Kidel, which has just premiered at Cannes International Film Festival is coming to Bristol. Watershed are now screening the English Premiere as part of their Cinema Rediscovered season, in partership with the Cary Grant Festival on Sunday 30 July at 17.50, with an introduction and Q&A with director Mark Kidel. We were lucky enough to welcome Mark to the 2016 Cary Grant Festival where we were given a sneak peak of work in progress and an exclusive Q&A with the director.
