Cary Comes Home Festival 2026
Bristol Megascreen at Bristol Aquarium, Anchor Road, Bristol UK, BS1 5TT
Saturday 28 November

Take to the skies with Cary Grant for a day of adventure, romance and aviation, tracing his journey from fast-rising leading man to one of Hollywood’s most beloved stars. Saturday’s programme brings together two rarely screened early films alongside two career-defining classics, exploring the exhilaration, danger and comic possibilities of life in motion.

The day also shines a spotlight on legendary director Howard Hawks, one of Grant’s most important collaborators, whose influence helped shape the witty, confident screen persona audiences came to adore. Along the way you’ll encounter daring pilots, wartime intrigue, screwball romance and some of the most memorable comic set-pieces of Grant’s career, from airborne adventures to motorbike-and-sidecar mayhem and a famously “suspenseful” railway crossing sequence.

The Saturday Day Pass offers the best way to experience these films together, revealing unexpected connections across three decades of Grant’s career. It also offers excellent value and the chance to become part of the festival atmosphere, joining fellow film lovers for a full day of cinema, conversation and discovery.

Whether you’re fascinated by Hollywood history, classic aviation films, Howard Hawks, or simply Cary Grant at his most charismatic, Saturday promises a rich and rewarding festival experience.
