Cary Grant Quiz

CrowdCast, Sunday 22 November 2020, 8pm GMT

You can catch-up or watch again on our Crowdcast Channel.

Join us for a Cary Grant quiz hosted by another Bristol film institution, Twentieth Century Flicks Video Shop.

Prizes include copies of Mark Glancy’s Book Cary Grant, The Making of a Hollywood Legend courtesy of publisher Oxford University Press and Cary Comes Home Official Merchandise.

How does it work?

Get yourself into a team – if you are looking for people to team up with then comment in the chat on the Crowdcast quiz page (click on Book Now above) or our Facebook Page. Once you have a team (max of 6) you can make a private Zoom/WhatsApp/whatever works for your group for when the Quiz is happening so you can confer. Obviously it’s also fine if people just want to play solo. We invite inventive quiz names with Cary Grant reference!

How do you get your answers to us?

We will be letting people mark their own work. We will read the answers out at the end and ask teams to send their totals into us, along with their names. They can do this either by messaging the Cary Comes Home Facebook Page or emailing them to us at Then once we’ve organised the results we will announce how folks did on both Facebook and Crowdcast.

Where will it be streamed?

The Quiz will be streamed live on our Facebook page. The link to the specific stream won’t be available until the night, it will be posted to the Crowdcast quiz page and to the Cary Comes Home Facebook page so you can easily find it. You don’t have to be signed up to Facebook to watch it; if that’s you, you can email your answers in. We will also post the questions on @20thCFlicks Twitter.

What is “Pay what you feel”?

We want to make our events accessible whatever your budget, but for those that can afford it, we’d really appreciate it if you can give generously to keep the festival afloat in these difficult times.

We rely on ticket sales as our main source of income, but Covid-19 has made this impossible this year, creating a huge shortfall in our finances. We’re a biennial festival so we’re hoping by 2022 we’ll be able to return to live events, but in the meantime we’re determined to celebrate Cary Grant as best we can virtually. If you’ve enjoyed watching this event, please consider donating.
