🎬 Join Us for a Sneak Peek at the Cary Comes Home Festival! 🎬
Friday 26 July, 14:00-16:00
Waterside 2, Watershed Media Centre, 1 Cannon’s Road, Bristol, UK BS1 5TX
Calling all Cary Grant fans! We’re thrilled to invite you to an exclusive stakeholder event where you’ll get a sneak peek at the upcoming Cary Comes Home Festival. Taking place in Cary Grant’s hometown of Bristol, UK from November 29th to December 1st, 2024, this year’s festival is set to be a spectacular celebration of the 120th anniversary of Cary Grant’s birth.
Prepare to be amazed as we delve into the acrobatic side of this Hollywood legend. From his early days with the Pender Troupe to his hilarious pratfalls in “Bringing Up Baby” and the heart-stopping chase scenes in “North by Northwest,” we’ll be exploring Cary Grant’s incredible agility and physical comedy.
Join us for an unforgettable event packed with screenings, talks, and special activities that celebrate Cary Grant’s comedic genius and physical prowess. We’re planning to showcase his journey from acrobat to vaudeville star, and screen his screwball classics alongside the silent films that shaped the young Archie Leach.
But we want to hear from you! Come and help us co-curate the festival. What kind of wrap-around content are you interested in? Whether it’s more film screenings, interactive workshops, or themed tours, we value your input in making this festival a truly unique experience.
Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details about the festival program and special events. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate Cary Grant in a whole new light!
In the meantime, don’t forget to check out our new walking tour running throughout the summer!
We look forward to seeing you there!
Best,
The Cary Comes Home Festival Team
