Spotlight on Fern Dunn – Festival Co-ordinator

We’re proud to shine a light on Fern Dunn, who has been with the Cary Comes Home Festival for over a decade since its inception and plays a vital role in making everything run smoothly.

Fern graduated from the MA Curating at UWE Bristol in 2014, completing a placement with the Watershed programming team under the mentorship of cinema curator Mark Cosgrove. During her MA, Fern curated a season of screenings titled Beats and Buddhism, culminating in a special showing of Martin Scorsese’s Kundun introduced by Philip Glass himself.

Since graduating, Fern has honed her marketing and communications expertise working with iconic Bristol creative institutions such as Aardman and Watershed. In her current role as Marketing and Communications Manager at the Society for Endocrinology, she continues to enrich her skills in audience engagement and event promotion.

Festival Director Charlotte Crofts says:

“Fern is my right-hand woman who keeps everything running smoothly and enables all my mad Cary Grant ideas to come to fruition!”

We’re incredibly lucky to have Fern’s experience and dedication behind the scenes.
